Death to Crappie. Crappie flies are supposed to be white,
or maybe yellow. So what's up with black? Just a track
record of 50 or 60 slabs over one week , out of a lake
where I'd never caught more than two or three before. There's
something about this size 6 Clouser minnow that white perch (what we
call crappie here in East Texas) just seem to love. And on top of
that, it's a great bass fly as well. Bigger eyes
than normal to sink it faster, silver holo Flashabou for sparkle, sparse
black bucktail for the body, and fluorescent red thread on the head just
because it looks good. 3 for $4.50.
