Whether you call them cockahoes, or killifish, or mud minnows, redfish
love these little marsh minnows. Don Gapen's classic Muddler Minnow,
with a few modifications, becomes this great redfish fly. .It
doesn't quite float, because the rabbit strip tail wants to pull it
under, but it doesn't quite sink because the spun deer hair head and
plastic bead eyes work to keep it afloat. It's just right to throw
into the edge of the grass where the redfish root, and the mono
weedguard keeps it from snagging. $2.50 each.
