| BESTWAY UNIQUE
HAIR. The old standby salt water material. Very translucent
nylon fiber, but also fairly stiff. Makes a good fly that is
virtually bullet-proof, although toothy fish will tangle it
sometimes. Reflects a lot of light, but has limited action.
DON'T MIX with EP Fibers--it could be done, but doesn't make a very good
fly. Colors tend to vary quite a bit from lot to lot, so flies may
not match samples exactly. |

FIBER: Incredibly realistic blended soft fiber. Each color
has 3 or 4 different shades in it. Better action than Unique Hair.
Makes a beautiful fly that needs combing out often, as the fibers are
prone to tangle. DOESN'T MIX WITH UNIQUE HAIR very well--choose
back and belly from one or the other, but don't mix them. Color
differences are pretty subtle--Anchovy is a bluish chartreuse,
Pilchard is more yellowish, and plain Chartreuse is more green--but not
much. |
