The problem with deer hair flies is that no matter how tightly
they're packed, or how well they're greased, they eventually get
waterlogged and sink. By adding a collar of 3mm foam to the fly,
it stays on top longer, and even when it gets waterlogged, it still will
rise into the surface film. Built on the fantastic Gamakatsu B10S
hook, this is my go-to bass fly in the fall. $3 each.
